Inspector Cathy Hurley


Inspector Hurley has been in the electrical field for over 20 years. She worked as A-Wireman for Local Union #3 IBEW for over 10 years for both commercial and residential locations, before becoming an inspector for the NY Board of Fire Underwriters for over 8 years. Cathy came to the Long Island Electrical Inspectors, Inc back in 2017, after working as an electrical inspector for NYC Department of Buildings in the Brooklyn District. Cathy is capable of completing an array of electric inspections as well, and can inspect hot tubs, swimming pools, solar photovoltaic systems, generators, air conditioning systems, geothermal and so much more. Cathy is well versed in the NEC requirements for both Nassau and Suffolk County, as well as, individual township requirements throughout Long Island.



Inspector Lou Maniaci


Inspector Maniaci has been with the Long Island Electrical Inspectors, Inc since 2011. Starting his training under Chief Inspector Joe Deubel and Inspector Paul Barker (retired) from 2011-2013, Lou passed the IAEI certification to become an inspector in July of 2013. Since passing the certification, Lou has continued to maintain the required continuing education hours need to hold the certification. He is also very capable of completing an array of inspections, such as, hot tubs, swimming pools, solar photovoltaic systems, generators, air conditioning systems, geothermal and so much more.  Lou is well versed in the NEC requirements for both Nassau and Suffolk County, as well as, individual township requirements throughout Long Island.

Hardeep Bhatia, P.E.


Hardeep (Hardee) Bhatia is the owner and operator of Jashar Engineering, P.C. Established in 1978 (Formerly Jashar Associates, becoming Jashar Engineering, P.C. in 1992), Hardee is well versed in a wide range of areas and has an array of knowledge in many fields. He can offer services and information in fields such as air conditioning systems, electrical engineering, heating, lighting & power, plumbing, sprinklers, fire alarms, security, data and communications for commercial and residential properties and so much more. Hardee was an adjunct professor at NYU and holds an engineering license in not only New York and New York City, but in New Jersey and Massachusetts as well. He has played a major role in code changes and improvements over the years and some of his drawings can be found in previous NEC code books. Hardee is also approved by the Suffolk County Electrical Contractors Association to provide the 8-hour course for electricians, this is a required class that electricians licensed in Suffolk County must take in order to renew their license. This course covers the following, NEC 2014 – Analysis of Changes, NEC 2017 – Transformers and 2014 Generators. Our Chief Inspector Joe Deubel also is a guest speaker at this course.
