Located in Suffolk County, NY lies the town of Babylon. This area was once called South Huntington, but when Nathaniel Conklin moved his family to the area, he renamed it Babylon, after the ancient town of Babylon. The town was officially formed in 1872.

Today, there are about 215,000 people living in the area and about 70,000 households. Babylon offers a variety of state parks and beaches, as it is located on Long Island. Residents are often found taking advantage of the water through kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming and more. Nearby, there are golf courses, sailing programs, tennis and more.
